Stephon Marbury Has Some Advice for Bassy
Fear McHale!
Say what you will about Stephon Marbury, but at least you never have to twist the guy’s arm to get him to express his feelings. For example, how does he feel about his old GM Kevin McHale (who Sebastian Telfair, Steph’s cousin, now has to play for in Minny)?
“When I do speak to (Sebastian) I’ll wish him good luck and tell him to be careful around Kevin McHale,” Marbury said.
“As far as my little cousin, I wish him all the best because he’s got to deal with Kevin McHale,” Marbury said. “I wouldn’t want to play for Kevin McHale. When I left, all of a sudden I became a bad person from his standpoint. I became selfish and jealous of Kevin [Garnett].”
I don’t think anyone wants to play for Kevin McHale, Steph. But hey, good luck, Bassy!
As for the ‘07-’08 Knicks, Marbury has a new nickname for them: “Our new nickname is nice and nasty. That’s how we’re coming.”
Nice and Nasty. It doesn’t make sense, which is probably why I like it.

I don’t know, but the Celtics are going to be a beast on NBA Street. I’ll go with Denver (AI and/or Melo and Camby) for NBA Jam duo.

I find Marbury entertaining, and it’s funny to me that so many people are annoyed by him speaking his mind. It’s weird. He doesn’t sound anymore bizarre than Arenas, and poeple love Gilbert.

For some strange reason, I just believe the Knicks are going to make some noise this year. With Zach, Marbury, Curry, Crawford, and company I think they are going to the playoffs this year. I hope they are nice and nasty and not nice but ugly. play wit it.

Playing for Isiah is WAY better than playing for McHale. Zeke may be a lot of things, but he NEVER would have pulled a “Joe Smith” like Kevie-Kev, basically putting them in the position they’re in now, having to get rid of the franchise cuz you couldn’t draft for about 5 years.
this has been the smartest, most coherent thing Steph’s said all summer…Which aint sayin much, but at least he still got sense enough to know that McHale’s a tool.

The best duo on today’s NBA Jam would be Starbury and Z-Bo.

Steph took it back to the late 80’s on ya’ll…he probably meant to say the Knicks will be “Nicety” a combination of both Nice and Nasty…originally coined by former R&B singer, and Dr. Dre’s ex-girlfriend Michel’le…they should use the song as their game intro for the 07-08 season…hahahaha http://youtube.com/watch?v=c30j-gE97NU

Marbury is a looser and he´ll always be. He says he wasn´t jealous of Garnett? Yeah right. When Marbury got out of New Jersey, Ason Kidd took them to the Finals twice. And when he got out of Phoenix, Nash made them a helluva ball club

Nice: That the Knicks MIGHT crack 40 wins this year. Nasty: That the Knicks MIGHT implode and miss the playoffs…again. I’m as much of a Knicks fan as Lang is a Hawks fan, so I’ll believe how “Nice & Nasty” my team is when they start winning the games they’re supposed to win.

I agree with KMG. Besides, statistically, Marbury, Crawford, Z-Bo and Curry will appear to be the team’s most important players. However, the real glue of the team will be D-Lee and Q. Without those two, I really can’t see my Knicks doing all that well this season.

So the New York Post reports the Knicks are concerned about Steph’s recent bizarre behavior. No worries. It’s not a brain tumor. It’s called vodka. If you read Ian O’Connor’s book, “Jump” on Bassy, you will find that the two families are not quite on the best of terms. Bassy’s family including Mom, Dad, and cousin/brother Jamel Thomas don’t think Steph’s helped them much, including on basketball matters (at least until the end).

McHale is an idiot. Actually though this was a helluva trade for the wolves. I love KG and I completely think Minny got the better deal in this trade. two future long term all-stars in Harrington and green and two 1st round drafts picks in one year. thats a steal for damn near anyone.

It’s funny seeing a few Knicks fans with hope up there. I hate to break it to you guys, but your beloved Knickerbockers are going to be brutal. As was mentioned above, everytime Marbury gets traded, the team drastically improves (b/c Kidd and Nash actually pass to the freakish athletes who deserve the ball on their teams). Crawford and Eddy Curry both anchored the HorriBULLS for a few years, and haven’t produced anything close to a winning record in their time in the big apple. Lookout, here comes Zach Randolph to save the day. HAHAHA, good one Isaiah. By far the worst 20-10 player in the league……the guy is a blackhole with the ball and does not play D. I’m no mathematician, but I’m pretty sure that the sum of a bunch of individual losers eqauls one really bad team. The good news is that the Knicks will not be stuck at the bottom of the Atlantic. They will surely beat out the befuddled Sixers, but be far behind an amazing divisional title race between my RAPTORS, the new look Celts and those other jerks from the swamp. ps. the best all-time NBA JAM combo was Larry Johnson and Alonzo Mourning.

Gotta remember that NBA Jam wasn’t about real life talent. They had the Magic with Nick Anderson as the best dunker in the league and Scott Skiles as the top 3 point shooter in the league. So I’d say the Magic of 07-08, why not? give Darko full dunks and make J.J. Reddick the shooter.
