Horrible. Between him and Eddie House, their bench is going to be one of the least offensive producing units in the league. The big 3 better be doing lots and lots of cardio, because they are not going to be able to be off the floor for more than a couple of minutes each game.

ebaoy, Truth and the Big Ticket don’t sit much anyway, but this could be bad for Jesus. His ankles have a history of breaking down so I can’t see him going 40 min a night like the other two.

Scott Pollard signed with the Celtics? Whoa! This is even better than KG! Who’s next? Mark Pope?

Are there really no free agents left that are worth signing???

white hot eboy says:
dblizzy, If someone wants a pantless, defensive-minded SF, James Posey isn’t doing anything worth a sh*t right now. You’ve seen the pictures. This man needs a job.

Cheryl says:
and some underwear, eboy. On the serious side: what the hell was he doing? And why would you allow a picture to be taken? Don’t these cats know that there’s always somebody ready to capitalize on this kind of nonsense? Finally, I always suspected James was gay. I guess my gaydar needs new batteries… (not that there’s anything wrong with that)

Nope there isnt, just checked…

I think most would pass on that one eboy!
And Cheryl, he can still be a fruit, he just ran some interference for your gaydar.

From the article: “Celtics sign veteran Pollard, adding height to their frontcourt.” Yes. That is the best thing they can say about Scot Pollard.

you know the weed vendors in the boston area are happy…

Mo Charlo says:
And the hairstylists, Mutoni. I want Pollard to shave a shamrock into his head and dye it green. then I want him to go down into the MTA, yell out “God Bless Steinbrenner!” and fight his way to the surface.

Yeah, I was on my way to work today and saw a few of my boys, told them the news and their eyes it up like they new they were in business. Can’t say that I blame them… But for real, what the C’s needed was a veteran point guard to get the job done under pressure (Mr. Chibbs from the 01-02 Celtics team), first and foremost, and Eddie House is a reliable shooter, but if that’s what they’re bringing him for, it does not fulfill that need. Rondo doesn’t either (and if I hear another Tony Allen as back-up point guard rumor I am going to write-off the Celtics hopes for making the playoffs this year… dude is a walking turnover). A STARTING Center is another desire, but someone to bang downlow (a Pollard/Perkins) type might be all right if their other needs were met. They definitely need some role-players off the bench (If the T’Wolves do in fact cut Ryan Gomes, the Celtics better scoop him up quick).

Lucci says:
Aight, for everyone thinking this and that about the celts, let me tell you. They arent gonna win the division. The knicks are. They have maybe the best starting five in the NBA with Marbury, Crawford, Lee, Randolph and Curry. Then come off the bench with Q, Nate and Balk, the west better watch out

Aug.7 at 4:16 pm

Celts Fan says:
Lucci, can I get your #? I’d like to come over and smoke whatever it is you have, cuz it’s definitely better than what I’ve been getting! Knicks win the division? You must be out of your mind!

Young Chris #3 says:
The Knicks suck.

(sorry Sam)

white hot eboy says:
Leave Lucci alone. I’d be excited too, if my team hadn’t sniffed the playoff vapors for years. And the Knicks/Celtics games will be really good to watch this season.

ya, just to see what big man is gonna be the one to give up 40 to KG…

Madtice says:
there are some very decent ball players in Europe - and I bet in other parts of the world as well - that would really be of more value than Scott Pollard. There’s also the D-League with some decent players. Perhaps a never-before-seen trade with a WNBA-team. I mean, common’, there got to be a better player to find out there than Scott Pollard for that money. Just keep looking…

Des-Row says:
Eh, all of the people moaning about the Celtics choices in comparison to what’s available forget that their salary situation is shot to hell. I’m fairly sure they’d take better player if they could. Then again, I usually don’t pay much attention to salary situations, so I might be wrong… I just figure if they just signed 3 huge contracts, they’re likely over the cap and probably only have the MLE left.
