Damon Stoudamire doesn’t enjoy rebuilding things.

Cheryl says:
Now, this is a servicable guard the Heat could use. His contract’s manageable too. Riley could give up Earl Barron and a pick to get Damon here. I’d bet he’d be better than Smush.

bakers' dozen says:
Nah…We need him in Denver, asap! He’d be a great backup PG who can hit the long ball.

Cheryl, I agree with YOung Chris. With Smush, Eboy an Penny sharing PG minutes, I don’t see where Damon pushes one of them out of the rotation. Unless J-Will stays, hurt, Smush stays sorry and Penny doesn’t find the Fountain of Youth.

i second the denver motion i would love to see that, they can get rid of that over shooting diawara guy he takes some of the most ill advised shots in the league, but on another note if damon only gets 4 mil a season at 34 who the hell is charles oakley to demand 5 mil a season at 43 hmmm

wait a minute when is the last time you seen penny runnin the point he is gonna be one of them michael finley like two guards now he’s not penny anymore he’s just anfernee now

Aug.21 at 11:26 am

Cheryl says:
All three of those scenarios are probable, Eboy.

Cheryl says:
He’d be fine for the Celtics, if he can still run an uptempo system, which I’m thinking is what Doc will try initially.

white hot eboy says:
Yeah, things look good at the PG for us, huh, Cheryl?

The Spin says:
He’s a solid backup, but that’s all the credit I can give him at this point in his career. If he was smart, he would have stayed in Toronto and came up with the team that is there now. Oh well. www.clutch3.com

If I was Danny Ainge I would try my best to get him in Boston. What about the Lakers? Or the Spurs if they don’t sign Troy Hudson already?

I remember when minor news like this was just a LINK on a page of other links. Why this gets its own page to link to an entire other page is just silly.

The moral of the story is that when you are able to choose where to work, remember that the highest paycheck isn’t everything.

Mo Charlo says:
As a Grizzlies fan, I say good riddance. He’s old, overpaid, and we have two other point guards that are much better than him. I say the Grizz package him with Gasol, and get a big guy that can do more than break his foot. Gasol’s stock is only going to go down. It’s easy to forget about Jacques Vaughn, Jesus.

Boulder Griz says:
As a Grizzlies fan, who has seen them lose in Denver each of the 9 times I’ve gone in the past 5 seasons, I would love to see Denver wind up with mighty mouse. This way I can finally be happy when Chucky Atkins and Damon Stoudamire stink it up at the Pepsi Center. Nuggets fans, keep in mind that the PG position was probably the weakest on the team with the worst record in the NBA last year. And you want both PGs from that team? Take ‘em. Go Griz! Viva Gasol!

I guess not every player of the some 350 active NBA athletes can be on a winning team… imagine that though…one year all 30 teams go 41-41…that would be sweet.

Aug.21 at 9:35 pm

Adrian says:
That wouldn’t technically be a winning team DACRE…

Tarzan Jesus: yes, the Spurs. Vaughn is okay, but rumors are they are gonna get Hudson.
