Nate Robinson Wins the MVP
Plus: LeBron dances.
-Nate Robinson is your Summer League MVP.
“I’m honored to have been selected MVP but more proud of my teammates and going 5-0,” said Robinson who finished the week averaging 19.6 points, 6.0 assists and 3.6 rebounds. “It’s been a great week for us.”
-Chris Paul, a Blazer in 2009 ? Those guys in Portland sure do love to dream.
-I totally forgot that the ESPYs were on last night (damn it!), but it appears that LeBron did a little Bobby Brown impersonation. (Via: TBL)
Good to see that the nail-chewing doesn’t stop when he steps off the basketball court. (Care to guess where else he chews his nails in the comments? Please, try to keep it clean.)
-The Nuggets like what they’ve seen from Von Wafer so far. Must be a different Wafer than the one I saw stinking up the joint when he was a Laker. Hey Von, thanks for blowing up AFTER leaving the Lakers. Thanks a lot.
-Larry Johnson, one of my favorite players of all time, talked about the Knicks and how the fight against the Nuggets cost him money since he had bet on Zeke’s squad making the postseason. (Via: Poasting and Toasting)
(By law, whenever LJ is mentioned in a post, I must link to his infamous four-point play against the Pacers in the ‘99 Playoffs. The shot of MSG rising as one always gives me chills.)

Two huge earthquakes in China in one day, and Nate Robinson winning ANY type of MVP award. It must be the end of the world. Damn, now I won’t know what the Cloverfield monster will be.

Nate Robinson winning the summer league MVP is soooooo summer league.
The four-point play brings back happy memories. Since you asked I’ll share. I was watching that game and this girl I was seeing was out cold laying next to me on the couch. When it happened I jumped up and threw my arms up and it caused her to do like a 720 in the air and land on the floor. Very rude awakening for her.

Uh, I think the quake was in Japan, White Hot. But if Cloverfield is coming out of China, it better fear the Chinese gov’t cuz they don’t play…

My bad on the China/Japan mixup! I’m so shook by the end of world events going on around me, I can’t keep things straight in my mind. FYI, for anyone of my fellow posters who didn’t see Transformers, Cloverfield is the the pre-production name of a trailer that was shown before T-formers and basically looks like it will be some type of huge monster that destroys New York, filmed by camcorder by people at a going away party. (Yes the trailer was also that vague, too) It ends with the Statue of Liberty’s head bouncing of a building in landing in a steet with hundreds of people running around screaming “oh my God”! Eeerily similiar to 9/11 videos that were shot on that day. The screaming and panic, not the giant monster. The 9/11 monster is much, much worse.

There’s gonna be some big signing in 2009 for Portland. I don’t think it’s gonna be Chris Paul though.
P.s. That means they have found a way to get rid of Miles/Przybilla by then?

What does the KC Chiefs RB has to do with the Knicks? Is Thomas going to give him a max contract hoping he will get 40 rushing TD’s for the Knicks next season?

Oh, and if Nate Robinson and Von Wafer will play in the NBA after the 2010 season, the terrorist have already won.
