Danny Ainge is insane

Why does he still think the C’s are good? Plus, Kwame Brown likes lesbians.

by Marcel Mutoni

-Danny Ainge has lost his damn mind. He thinks the Celtics have a shot at winning the East next season.

(Right, because teams that are stacked with guys barely old enough to order a drink, and being led by two just-past-their-primes shooting guards win conference championships all the time. Puff, puff, pass, Danny.)

-Kwame Brown likes girls who like girls. Probably. No way to confirm the veracity of this report, but it says that he was spotted at a gay bar last week. (Insert obligatory “not that there’s anything wrong with that” joke here). (Via: TBL)

-Elton Brand is serious about the movie-making business. He says that he even wrote a screenplay.

-Frank Isola thinks that Nate Robinson playing in the Summer League is a sign that he may not be part of the Knicks’ plans for the future.

-Big Baby claims that a bunch of teams lied to him about their interest in drafting him. He also uses the term “survival of the fittest”, which I found amusing.

-Mateen Cleaves is still alive! Can you believe he’s turning 30 soon? Damn, I feel old. He’s playing in the Summer League for the Minnesota Timberwolves.

“Lot of guys my age won’t play Summer League,” Cleaves said. “Not me. It’s not about ego. I have no ego, nothing. I just want to play basketball. And I still think I can do it here.”

-Big, pressure-filled summer for USA Basketball. Love the pic of LeBron shaking hands with the devil Mike Krzyzewski.

I don’t think Paul Pierce is past his prime. He’s only 29.

I contend that the Celtics are a center away from winning the East, as long as they don’t lose a big piece. What lineup in the East is better than Rondo/Allen/Pierce/Jefferson/(Center). Assuming they move Perkins, Gerald Green, Telfair and Ratliff’s contract in the trade (they could get a pretty damn good 4/5 for that group), that still leaves them with Gomes/Tony Allen(who was really starting to come into his own before he got hurt) and whoever they can scrounge up for the mid-level coming off the bench. Oh, and Big Baby. Ahahahah just kidding.

The Celtics will undoubtedly win the East—provided that several franchises fold or move West before the season starts.

Since everybody has a blog these days I thought I might as well utilise mine. The adress is one thishttp://nothinpersonal8.blogspot.com/ (provided I pass the “moderation” test), and the first subject I tackle is: When to trade your All-Star, if things aren’t clicking for you! It is as good as the Chukaz page, it can drastically cut down my AvgCom/day figure!

“I contend that the Celtics are a center away from winning the East, as long as they don’t lose a big piece.” Ha, that’s funny! Do you mean that the Celtics don’t actually have a Center on their roster - or that they’re actually one GOOD center away from winning the East? If that’s the case - what team ISN’T one good center away from winning the East? Cleveland? Detroit? CHICAGO? And what teams have enough talent to actually acquire a good center AND keep enough good players to remain competitive? The Celtics are one good center away from possibly winning a playoff series - that’s about it. They can’t compete with Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, nor Toronto with the rosters as they are currently.

Smarter than Marcel says:
Marcel way to jump on the Ainge Bashing bandwagon without any actual analysis. The C’s have 3 of the top 25 players in the NBA in Jefferson, Pierce, and Allen. Rondo, T. Allen, Gomes, Perkins can be excellent role players alongside the vets and the C’s will still get Stronger with a trade of Gerald Green and Ratlif for another vet. I also expoect them to use the midlevel exception this to get a quality player. Yes they can win the east. Ainge didn’t say they definitely would win the east….he just said they had a shot…..and he is 100% correct and Marcel is a moron.

Just ignore Celtics fans. They have become insane since losing and losing and losing and losing. Besides you have to remember that winning playoff rounds is not enough. AInge eitehr wins a title or he is a failure. Allen brings no more to the table then Ricky Davis did. Ricky is a betetr defender (or should I say Ricky defends, Allen does not) a better passer and a betetr rebounder and he actually can shoot sometimes, Allen shoots and shoots and shoots. Way to go Ainge and Pierce. The two dumbest people in charge of an NBA team EVER

The only thing that is insane is that Danny Ainge is insane he helped the Celtics alot.
