Adidas goes bang!
And Air Max 90’s are the real deal.
Adidas latest release of their 2007 holiday pack hit stores last week and much like Borat it was a “great success”! The Independence Day collection includes the likes of Adidas ZX 600, one of the more popular running shoe from the Adidas archives and the Decade low, the unforgettable hoops shoe from the late 80’s. I would have liked to seen the decade in a high top version but I like the lows as well. The shoes are garlanded with the vibrant colors found in the fireworks displays that make every 4th of July so much fun. For me its too many bright colors against black. I’m not one for hot pink, bright yellow, baby blue and red against black all in the same shoe. Maybe if it was a white shoe I’d feel better about it but I’m not mad at Adidas. They aren’t the best to come out of the holiday pack but they are cool to have just so you can say you have fireworks on your shoes! Next to come out of the holiday pack will shake things up a bit I promise.
Nike has been doing major damage with the Air Max 90 and Air Max 1 this year solidifying its spot in sneaker history as a timeless shoe. Earlier this year Nike Town SF dropped the 10-year anniversary orange and steele colorway and now San Fran is dropping the white and orange color way for the 2007 MLB all–star game. Not to mention the WWII edition, shaved ice or the Elmer’s Glue edition from the back to school pack yet to be released. Air Max 90’s have always been a dope shoe but this year it has passed Blazer and landed on the same plateau of Dunk’s and Air Force Ones. The Next big Nike everyone will fall in love with are the Mavrks, lets just hope that Nike does’nt fly to close to the sun on wings of pastrami like they are doing with dunks and Air Force Ones.
Here’s something for you more basketball oriented folks. Street Ball Academy has come up with the brilliant idea of making and sacky bag that has two completely separate shoe departments (see below). It kind of reminds me of a shoe caddy on your back pack. Seems like a cool idea, I don’t know how well it works but I’m for it.

Yeah, thats what I meant, but I was just hoping that 90’s would be spared of such a fate. It seems like if anything was gonna kill any Air Max it wouldve been Nike ID, but I hardly ever see anyone with them.

Nike ID isn’t really a killer, its Nike they make too many styles and colors and then they trick ppl buy making lmtd amounts. but it keeps me hunting for the next big thing. sorry bout that link guys

patent is overrated. The “SF” symbol on both the AM1’s and AM90’s is pretty ugly. Shaved Ice is OK though especially if you compare it with the 2 ugly ass court forces in the same pack
