The D.A.Y. we came back from Vegas

Back to the old office grind

By Sam Rubenstein

The trip and the whole weekend were amazing. I have no right to complain about anything. However, if I were to complain, it would be about yesterday’s return home. Lang is working on his weekend recap, and that should have all the info you need. I had to dig my car out of the snow and move it this morning. Welcome back, indeed. I want to write another recap about all of the experiences of the weekend that have nothing to do with basketball. Right now I have a bunch of more pressing work to do on the site.

This doesn’t have anything to do with this post, but the article called powerbreakfast with David Stern remarked that the relationship between TNT and the NBA is the longest between a pro sport and a network. That is absolute horse shit and I’m amazed that Stern (with his buisiness acumen) would say it. The longest by far has been the relationship between the CBC (Canadian broadcast company) and the NHL. Hockey Night in Canada is the longest running program a la TNT-NBA relationship. I’m fully expecting some snide comments about how the NHL and/or Canada don’t matter…
