Player of the D.A.Y.
A star back from injury. A team back to being itself.
As part of returning to a normal post-Vegas life, I’m back to handing out this award. Gilbert had the numbers and performance to earn it, but his three point shooting contest whipping boy Deshawn Stevenson played just as well. The nickname is Mr. 50, and the Wizards really seem to be having too much fun for a group of grown men. Let’s hope they get to the Finals.
Nash brought the Suns their sun swagger back. “Coincidentally” Shawn Marion scored 31 points. In the four games without Steve Nash, Marion scored 12, 11, 11, and 10. Steve Nash apparently makes players around him better. And that’s why he is Player of the D.A.Y.

Nash, Arenas, and Baron Davis are now tied for the Player of the Y.E.A.R. with 5 D.A.Y.s each. But BDiddy hasn’t gotten an award since Dec 15 last year.

Steve Nash is so good, not only does he make Phoenix better, he even made Dallas better by leaving them.

I think Reggie is confusing Nash and Marbury. Don’t be a hater, MVP’s don’t fall from those trees.

Actually, what happened was Nash left Dallas and they both got better; I mean, Phoenix built it’s identity around Nash the second they picked him up, as the last few weeks prove. I have always believed this, but couldn’t get much support for it earlier, although I suspect the Sun’s performances without Nash should add more power to my argument: Amare Stoudemire may be STAT, but he is NOT and never will be the man on whom the Sun’s success rests. That has been and will be Steve Nash. I mean, they lose STAT for an entire season and they still manage to play terrific ball and get to the conference finals. Without Nash, they’re just an average team.
Nashty for MVP. Again…

I think B. Diddy gave up after his first few awards. He does play for the warriors.

The problem with the Mavs when Nash was there came when he went to the bench, they looked lost without him. You can exclude the Van Exel period. The Mavs don’t play the style they played with Nash anymore. I’d love to see my fav player win his 3rd straight MVP just to see the hate!

Player of the Century: Yinka Dare.
(If I were Yinka Dare, and someone was trying to provoke me, I would say menacingly: “Think ya dare? I’m Yinka Dare!”
