The D.A.Y. of Kobe over the Spurs

Delegating. That’s what leaders do.

By Sam Rubenstein

Lots of games. I need to go to the gym this morning though. It’s freezing outside and I get kind of depressed when I just go from work to home, from the computer to the TV. Need to work out. I leave the recap responsibilities to various bloggers. Speaking of which, I’ve been asked to recruit as many bloggers as I can for something that could end up in both the magazine and the website. If you’re interested, email me by clicking here.
LA LAKERS 100 SAN ANTONIO 96

TORONTO 101 SACRAMENTO 85

WASHINGTON 99 NEW YORK 98

UTAH 100 DETROIT 99

MEMPHIS 118 PHILLY 102

CHICAGO 99 MILWAUKEE 90

ATLANTA 105 MINNY 88

PHOENIX 100 HOUSTON 91 Why isn’t anyone writing about this game? Is it too early in the morning? I thought you people were nocturnal. I thought the Suns are supposed to be the most fun you can have with a basketball? T-Mac didn’t play and the Rockets were still winning for a while. Steve Nash turned it up and won the game for a sluggish Suns team. 11 wins in a row.

NEW JERSEY 92 CHARLOTTE 85

How ’bout Memphis. Any day now they are going to burn up the league.

Oh, my goodness. I had no idea I was writing game reports for the Mamba81 blog, and yet there’s my name. Nuts.

On a totaly unrelated point (although it’s always nice to see anyone stick it to the Spurs, possibly the most dull team in any sport ever, they make chess look like barrera/paqciao) check out suns.com, there is a video of Nash kicking, yes kicking, the ball into the hoop from just inside halfcourt. God’s most dextrous athlete?

That Bulls recap wasn’t even a recap.

Nobody is writing about that Suns game because they won by 9 against a team that they weren’t really fired up for since TMac and Yao were both out. No worries though. When they are both back, we’ll still beat them by ten.

That sacremento one was so sad it is laughable, just cause they lost to Toronto.
AHAHAHAHAHA

Spurs are dull, yes. Duncan is the most boring player in the world, possibly. But we do win games in the playoffs, which exciting teams (Phoenix, GSW or others) cannot do. You guys have all the flash you want, but we get the job done.

We’re so good.

Chief, I think it’s because they’ve lost 7 in a row, and they’d been a 50 win team for last 6 or 7 years.

Precisely what job are san-an getting done at the moment james? 5 and 5 in the last ten mate. What round did the spurs get knocked out in last year? Suns? Mavericks? Yes the Spurs have got ‘chips, can’t take that away from them, but if they plan on winning anymore, we shouldn’t be made to sit through it, it’s just soul destroying. The Spurs should never be televised, I would feel sorry for the 20,000 Texans that sit through each of their games, but as you so ably point out, the Spurs have so much success that no Texan needs my sympathy. That said, they are now so old and crumbly that the Suns and Mavs are leaving them in the dust. Check the standings; even Houston are only two games back from ‘em. They would be severely tested by LA or Houston in a Seven game series; they’d look like geriatrics trying to keep up with Dallas or Phoenix over an extended period. Once again, the San Antonio Spurs should be banned. You’ll never persuade me otherwise.

The Raps are 17-13 since the 2-8 start with perhaps the hardest first two months of the season for any team in the league. Soon everyoen will see that a loss to the CB4 and the Raptors isn’t that embarrassing.

We Suns bloggers need our sleep Sam. AP can write in the middle of the night.

Kobe and the lakers beat the spurs again. The spurs look really old these days. Watching them play (the 2 or 3 times there on tv) is like watching paint dry it is a painful thing to sit through. However it is always nice to see the spurs lose. Kobe 4 MVP.

Drolfe says:
I’m the biggest supporter of the Spurs Are Boring As Hell campaign, but you gotta admit that watching Tony Parker weave through the lane past 3 or 4 defenders is pretty nice. The Lakers couldn’t stop him early.
