Player of the D.A.Y.
Backwards flip shot? Scoring too quickly? It doesn’t matter.
Am I downplaying the Mavs players in the Player of the D.A.Y. MVP race? I think I just might be. Dirk is an MVP candidate once again and Josh Howard has taken his game to the next level. Remember how last year the Mavs were undefeated (not including the Finals) when Josh scored 20 or more? Well he’s nearly averaging 20 ppg this year, as well as 7 boards. He should be an All-Star. Is it fair that these two keep playing at such a high level at the same time, cancelling each other out at award time? Life’s not fair.
The Player of the D.A.Y. is Dwyane Wade for his 33-8-6 and 4 steals. He had that ridiculous draw the foul and flip up a prayer shot, as well as the don’t draw a foul and get lucky it went in shot even though he was fouled. At the end of the d.a.y., Wade has really stepped up in the Ron Rothstein era, and taken the champs on his back. Again. Pacers, nice effort, spirited comeback. Dwyane Wade, Player of the D.A.Y. Josh and Dirk might just have to settle for their rings.

He is a b-ball Deighty. Holy, holy crap, D-Wade came back from his “injury” smoking HOTTTT! Nba.com has a top ten of him from just last week. Damn. Can’t wait to see how the mavs handle him tonight. Go Wade (and Nowitzki). Btw, just heard that Dirk’s gonna visit a local b-ball camp in switzerland sometime this summer, for the first time, ever. This is like jordan walking into my living room to gamble, gotta get me a camp counselor job, STAT.

Miami barely beat a team that lost 2 of its top 3 scorers and still didn’t have their replacements! DWade is great and all, but Indy was as depleated as any team could be. It has to be Dirk: 11-18 from the floor. 27 points, 10 boards and only 1 turnover!! Maybe Danny G. for showing he can ball…

I can’t get my head around the fact that LeBron hasn’t won one of these yet. That is really strange. I hope he beasts out tonight, just in time for the Unawarded Player of the D.A.Y. Cavs/Nugs will be sweet but could have been so much sweeter. DAMN YOU SLAP N RUN!

Miami is not playing anyone. i love wade, but he just isn’t enough. Shaq cannot even do it anymore. I believe the Wiz will win the Southeast and the Cavs will win the East. Kobe for mvp and josh howard should be an all star but so should Dwight Howard. he probably is. play wit it.

DWade is the truth and he’s continuously teaching the youngsters around the world the way the game was intended to be played. That’s 20 feet on down! Everybody fell for the fools gold that is the threepoint shot, but Wade is from the Chi and he learned from Money(MJ) that real leading scorers stay away from the 3pointers!
