Player of the D.A.Y.

A big star shines in a big game in the East.

By Sam Rubenstein

Lots of nice options today. James Jones and Shawn Marion both had great games for Phoenix in a blowout win. The same goes for GINOBILI against the lowly Grizz. Dwyane Wade came back from injury to give the Heat what they need, but it was against Portland, so I’ll temper the importance of that. KG continued to play inspired OT ball, as the T-Wolves got by the Rockets. Buuuut… there was a big performance in what you could consider a big game.

Chris Bosh had 24 and 15 against Gilbert and the Wizards in a battle of two teams that could end up as some of the higher seeds in the East playoffs. So much positivity shown Gil’s way lately for his off court partying and philosophising, it’s only right that I point out when someone on the other team outplays him. Player of the D.A.Y. is Chris Bosh. Good to have him back.

sick sick put-back on the TJ miss in the first half. set the tone for the whole game. beginning to think that the raps full strength are a pretty damn good team. they’re playing really well at home (11-5 now on the season i believe) and they’re improving on the road each time. there’s not much more you can ask for from a team everyone was predicting to be among the worst in the L this season.

At least it’s an actual NBA player. Sam is scheming of some way to give the award to a mascot or fan.

Im from Toronto so I know that it was a typo when you said the raptors were gonna be a team “that could end up as one of the higher seeds in the East playoffs”. I know the east is brutal but just watch a couple raptors games and you know New Jersey will eventually catch up

Chris, I am also from TO, i guess we have been watching different games or something because i think the Raps are going to win the Atlantic. Furthermore, have you seen NJ play? They don’t have any inside presence and have to rely on 30+ years old J-Kidd and the talented-but-docile VC to bail them out of most games.

Talk about over-hyped…
ELI could only ever be Player of the Day if we found out the Manning Parents switched the birth certificates way back..
