Player of the D.A.Y.
Otherwise known as the Baron Davis award.

Ok Baron. I’m trying to spread the wealth here. That’s enough already! He has now taken home 3 of the first 13 Player of the D.A.Y. trophies. Last night Baron Davis had 36, 18, and 8. As I pointed out earlier, that means he contributed to at least 72 points, but a few of those assists must have led to three pointers, and some of his passes led to a player getting fouled and scoring from the line. He might have been responsible for 80 points. He is healthy and a serious frontrunner for MVP.
I don’t want to jinx anything and I feel like a jerk for even putting this out there, but I hope he can keep it up all season without breaking down.

BD looks badass. He’ll be an MVP candidate until he gets hurt for a few weeks, eats nothing but lard and comes back 35 pounds heavier. My bet is an ankle injury.

and for some reason, he’s not in slam’s top 50 list, but darko is. i know y’all wasn’t sure if he was gonna be healthy or not, but an injured baron davis is better than a healthy darko any day.

That was the first game id seen all year from both the Warriors and the Kings. That Warriors team is fun as hell to watch. They just keep running. I love Don Nelson. The Kings looked slow and tired. I guess Miller and Bibby both being injured is messing them up a bit. Artest was doing his usual grab-the-ball-on-the-wing-and-bowl-through-the-lane-with-your-shoulder thing but it wasnt working. Killing it on D though.
Most deserving player of the DAY yet. 11 assists in the first quater?? Dang.

Shaq’s gonna miss 4-6 weeks due to knee surgery, apparently he tore some cartiliage in the game against Houston when he collided with Hayes. Just a heads up for everybody. By the way, how is he going to play for 4 more years? That could get interesting.

He’s playing like this for one simple reason, he read your list and was utterly insulted that you didn’t include him, and you included darko. plain disrespectful to the man. Not only was it a slap in the face, you kicked him in the balls when he wasn’t lookin… and when he was on the floor you teased his mama.
