Good covers for the season preview edition.
Both guys are the biggest asterisk and story for each conference entering the season.
For Phoenix, healthy Amare could be the difference between Western Conference Finalist and NBA Champions.
For Chicago, the addition of Ben Wallace is hopefully enough to propel them into the Conference Finals and hopefully to the NBA Finals. Great covers.

Amare deserves a cover just due to all the reasons listed above. If he is healthy, the Suns probably are headed to the Finals and the NBA has another young star to lead it into the future. If he is not healthy, it completely changes the Suns future. As a Suns fan, this is such a scary and exciting year.

The ball Big Ben is holding is an official NBA ball that was sitting in his garage when we did the shoot. There were four or five of them in there, all showing equal signs of use and abuse from the outdoor court behind his house. Apparently the kids use it. I thought it was an appropriate look for Big Ben, and apparently the photographer agreed. Incidentally, I have yet to even pick up one of the new composite game balls, and I already hate them.
