Bassy’s chain snatched

and nobody’s sayin’ nothin’.

By Sam Rubenstein

If people aren’t snitching, then we’re never going to get to the bottom of this. Sebastian Telfair, Bassy, had his $50,000 chain snatched (not the one in the photo) in the vicinity of Burger King spokesman Sean Combs restaurant Justin’s. He didn’t want to talk to the cops about it. They made him look at some lineups anyway, and he wouldn’t point a finger at anyone. Oh well. Guess he doesn’t really want his chain back. Bassy actually left the Celtics-Knicks game during the second half to check out the lineup. His lawyer claims that he’s cooperating with police as a witness, and I suppose the culprit was not in the lineup and he got away with a $50,000 piece of jewelry. The NYPost is nice enough to hint at Bassy taking the law into his own hands if you read the last short paragraph on that page. We probably won’t hear any more about this story, whether it’s handled or not. Hopefully Bassy had insurance on that thing.

It also turns out that Fabolous was at Justin’s on the same night and he was shot several times. Forgive me for being cynical, but I’m totally indifferent to rappers getting shot. I hope he’s okay, and it sounds like he is doing well enough to make sure not to speak to the cops either. The health of a man named John Jackson, who just so happens to go by the name Fabolous, is the most important thing. Other than that, my first thoughts about rappers being shot nowadays is when is his album coming out? I don’t enjoy being this cynical, but that’s the position you’re put in when this keeps happening. Also, the car that took him to the hospital was ready for war with unlicensed firearms galore. Apparently John Jackson (or should I say the people that supposedly own those guns) can’t fill out paperwork like Stephen Jackson.

the boy Fab was actually one of the four dudes they made Bassy look at in the lineup. There’s rumors going around that somebody from Fab’s crew snatched Bassy’s chain, resulting in somebody from Bassy’s crew buckin shots at Fab’s crew, hitting Fab in the leg once. I guess BK dudes dont snitch, so we will never know…

Sam i feel you on the ‘rapper publicity stunt’ thing, but Fab isnt one of those rappers. (Cam, Beans, 50…) I’m not even a fan of Fab like that, but I could easily tell this wasnt what was going on. Even though I think his album is dropping in the next few months….

Sam Rubenstein says:
rgeezy, the cam’ron shooting was like 5 or 6 rapper shootings ago. But yeah, in hindsight that was probably a publicity stunt too.
The perception of Fabolous is that he’s good at what he does in a Ma$e kind of way, but he has zero personality. Mark my words, this will help his career more than “Breathe”, which was hot. It’s a sick world.

I know we will here more about this as the story unfolds, but so far from what I read today, the Fab shooting and Bassy chain theft are connected. Did Fab’s people lift Bassy’s chain, and in retaliation, did Bassy’s people pop F.A.B.O? To Be Continued…

^^^^^remember what I said up there? Yall thought I was playin…Bassy tried to get Fab murked, I wasnt playin wit that…I dont blame him tho… “PALS OF rapper Fabolous were caught on camera ripping a $50,000 diamond chain off NBA star Sebastian Telfair’s neck - and the same tape shows the gunman who shot Fabolous about 20 minutes later fleeing in a getaway car, sources said.
The video catches Fabolous’ Brooklyn buddies approaching Telfair outside hip-hop mogul Sean (Diddy) Combs’ W. 21st St. restaurant early Tuesday, the sources said yesterday. One of Fabolous’ pals can be seen grabbing the chain from Telfair’s neck while another, decked out in a Brooklyn T-shirt, keeps watch, the sources said. The thieves then bolted into Diddy’s restaurant Justin’s, the sources said. Telfair, a point guard for the Boston Celtics, followed the crooks inside and saw them laughing with members of Fabolous’ crew - known as the Street Family, the sources said. Telfair, who grew up in Coney Island, pulled out his cell phone and made a call, the sources said. Twenty-three minutes later, a security camera outside the restaurant captured the gunman who shot 28-year-old Fabolous in a nearby parking lot driving off in a gray car, the sources said. The rapper was not believed to be the gunman’s target, the sources added.”
