• Former Raptors GM Glen Grunwald is leaving the Toronto Board of Trade behind and coming to work for the Knicks. He’ll be in charge of trying to help Isiah get a better exchange rate when making trades.
• Scariest lead of the week: “Celtics owner Wyc Grousbeck joked that power forward Al Jefferson looked a lot like Jessica Simpson these days.” I’m not who that’s more insulting to.
• Sideshow Varejao says he’s just trying to forget his summer. I’m guessing the Greek player whose jaw was shattered by a Varejao elbow during the World Championships would have a similar reaction. The Cavs have also sunk a lot of cash into their offices.
• George Shinn continues to do everything in his power to make Hornets fans in New Orleans feel nervous about their team returning.
• The Grizzlies marketing campaign is built around the phrase “Dunkyland.” Yeah, I’m really confused by it, too.
• Marcus Camby is for the children.
• Jerry Sloan says the Jazz are making the playoffs. If you don’t believe him, he’ll break your damn neck with his bare hands!

• A 99-year-old Pacers fan received an autographed picture of Reggie Miller from his agent’s office. Aww…

I don’t even like Duke or anything, but Jay Williams getting signed has made my day. Finally and good for him. I hope he becomes a real NBA player again.

It’s funny how people’s reactions to Reggie Miller differ. If I were 99 and not in the best of health and someone gave me an autographed pic of Reggie, I’d try and pull the plug myself. Just saying.

Jay Williams, back when he was Jason, played at the high school that was down the street from mine. my friend watched him destroy our team from the bench. good times.
hated him when he started whopping ass at Duke too (am a long time Tar Heels fan), but you never want to see someone end their promising career with an accident (Ronnie Fields… sigh). so it’s good to see him back on track.
speaking of accident, let’s hope MJ have sense enough to stop his biking. he’s freaking 6′6″ on a bike! ugh. my friend said that every bike should come with an organ donar box coz once you go, you are gone.

Good for Jay Williams, I’m happy he’s made it all the way back, it’s sad to think he won’t be explosive anymore. It’ll be interesting to see how his game has evolved. I wonder if JKidd remembers how Jay put that triple double on him like 3 yrs ago. And Camby’s a good guy, no ownder he needs a stipend for his dress code wardrobe, he’s always donating to charity.
