39. Stephon Marbury

With summer dragging on and on and on before the NBA tips off, we’ve decided to initiate a multipart series that will be the definitive look at the best players in the NBA today. Over the next month or so we’ll run down the 50 guys that we think are the 50 best players, right here, right now. Today, Tony Gervino, former editor-in-chief of SLAM, Inside Stuff and Hoop, takes a look at Stephon Marbury…

With summer dragging on and on and on before the NBA tips off, we’ve decided to initiate a multipart series that will be the definitive look at the best players in the NBA today.

Over lunch at the Outback Steakhouse (word to Steve Irwin), your crack SLAMonline.com staff sat down and ranked the 50 best players in the NBA today. We realize that’s kind of ambiguous, but that’s how basketball is and that’s how we like it. Basically, though, we tried to list the 50 guys we think have the most value to their teams, right now, at this moment. This doesn’t mean they’ll never be traded, and it doesn’t mean they’re due tremendous contract extensions, but it does mean — since value is king in the NBA — that over the next month or so we’ll run down the 50 guys that we think are the 50 best players, right here, right now.

Before long it’ll be time for our annual NBA team previews. Right now it’s time for some law and order…

39. Stephon Marbury
by Tony Gervino, former editor-in-chief of SLAM, Inside Stuff and Hoop

Stephon Marbury burst into the gym and began working the room like a Southern politician at a crawfish boil, while his teammates crowded around admiring his shiny new kicks, the likes of which no one had seen before. After hearing the game plan, he immediately began barking orders to his teammates, moving them around the court, like chess pieces with sad, ill-advised tattoos. It was a typical NBA practice on a typical day. Except…

Except that Stephon Marbury was 15 at the time, a sophomore at Brooklyn’s Abraham Lincoln High School and SLAM was a fledgling hoops magazine who showed up at his school for a fashion shoot with his team. And damned if it didn’t come out dope.

So you can understand if we have a soft place in our collective heart for Mr. Marbury. Despite his reputation — and we are not saying it is entirely undeserved — we can look beyond his recent series of unfortunate events and see the beauty in his game and how he has never shied away from the big shots, like so many other NBA players leery of tarnishing their reps.

The fact that his career arc has resembled Tyrone Hill’s forehead is immaterial: We will always have Stephon Marbury’s back because he is family. And family is just like that.

To a point.

Atleast you admitted his inclusion was based on sentiment and not his game.

Sam Rubenstein says:
Isiah is going to give him the keys to the team and Steph will be allowed to be Starbury this year. I know that sounds like a lot of nonsense, but it’s true. The man is going to play an NBA season in $15 shoes. Most NBA guys wouldn’t wear a $15 pair of flip flops to walk from their bed to the bathroom.
Okay, I’m getting into the barracks and putting on my helmet for the comments that come in.

Hype says:
’shit storm’ indeed… but this time: ITALICISED!

thesubwayconnection says:
Props Sam. I agree with you. You guys did avoid saying much of anything about his game though. He’s ill, very few have his array of floaters, and aside from some of the bad shots, Steph’s one of the better point guards in the league. 20 and 8 lifetime makes it hard to argue, especially if he put those up again.

Sep.22 at 11:44 am

The Baker's Dozen says:
Props. More props. The man is way better than he gets credit for. Bring him out to Denver and he’d run the league like nobody’s ever really seen. However, he’s stuck in the NY Doldrums, so I doubt he’ll get any real support from management or other players. he’s good though…good pick.

39 seems about right to me. any higher and it would have been sad.

I think this is great. Marbury is NO DOUBT a top 50 player. The fact that you guys “ranked” him at 39 on this list should shut all of those mouths looking to hate on the SLAM-STARBURY relationship…
I’m not a massive fan of his, but he’s definitely a top class talent.

Call me crazy but Id rank him higher. But I guess well have to see the rest of the list….

Ryan says:
I like Steph, and I wish him well. However, I feel that he crucified his career when he left Minny. He and KG had a chance to build something special, to be greater together than they ever will be apart. Much like Vince and Tracy. I understand that there are all kinds of reasons for players to want to leave, move, change whatever. And I’m not saying they aren’t justified. I just think that some opportunities only come once. I hope Steph can resurrect his image and his career. But he will never rise as high as he could have

Dj says:
thought you guys would have him at like #7 or something…

Sep.22 at 12:05 pm

Rob Stewart says:
I think Steph is beyond a #39 in talent ranking. But his attitude and selfishness contribute to a lower ranking. It’s getting late in his career and I hope he can become a better teammate. I loved watching him and A.I. go at it in college.

Talentwise he’s probably top 15, but would anyone want him on their team? Now, if these rumors of a successful photoshoot when he was in high school are true, everything changes.

Sep.22 at 12:18 pm

Gilbert0 says:
In terms of pure talent and skill it is hard to argue steph isnt in the top 20. I was looking forward to seeing if he ended up in the list and i think this is about right. You guys would have been caned regardless of where you put him, so I think this is a compromise. I know its not all about stats but 20 and 8 over his career is hard to argue with. His reputation is obviously not the greatest and he hasnt won anything but it is hard to argue with his talent and desire. I am not a fan of his in general but he does seem to care. Oh, good thing Lang didnt do the write up on Starbury, that could have got ugly.

dpak says:
Great picture of jailbait Steph with jailbait Bassy. Steph should be much higher on this list. No doubt you all have guys like Hinrich higher up and that’s a travesty. 20 and 8. 20 and 8. 20 and 8. When Steph is on and driving he’s a beast. Can’t wait to see him in action this year.

but honestly I wouldnt even trade Kwame Brown to get ‘Starbury’ on my team
and I’m pretty sure Kwame didnt make the list
oh
and by the way
if Kobe isnt #1 then you guys are all obviously closet nazis that watch more tennis than basketball

Dblizzy says:
I guess this is not the sh*t storm everyone is expecting. It’s actually turning a bit of a lovefest… and I’m gonna join. Steph is probably the most ridiculed point guard of all time. How do you average 20 and 8 for your career and be called selfish? Gilbert Arenas goes nut all day and he gets praise, he doesn’t get nearly as many assist as Steph but they don’t criticize him. And its not like I don’t like Arenas, but I’m just trying to make a point. One game he scores 35 and he shot too much, the next game he doesn’t shoot and he’s being selfish by not being aggressive. You gotta love that NY media. I’m not saying he doesn’t have his flaws, no nba player is perfect, but give him credit for the things he does well.

Sep.22 at 12:54 pm

jomay33 says:
39 is just about right, i think. he’s a great playah and i think it’s just unfortunate that he went into some shitty teams. he’s still one of the great point gods even at the tail end of his career. i have read every article slam has written about starbury and i think the bond that has formed between slam and starbury is really tight.i especially liked the 5th anniv issue of slam where starbury sitting on the cover holding 2 basketballs.(i almost said holding two balls.wehehe!) but anyway, that article really made me appreciate how starbury really appreciates family and that’s when i understood him leaving minny for joisey. CONEY ISLAND’S FINEST!!!

Sep.22 at 12:56 pm

Bryant Reeves says:
I wonder if you guys are going to get sh!t on for not putting him higher… SLAM and Starbury can’t win, there are haters on both sides.
I’d say he is a top 25 player in the league, but I’m glad he’s not on my team (if that makes sense).
One thing though: “he has never shied away from the big shots, like so many other NBA players leery of tarnishing their reps” - Are there any players with Marbury’s skill level in the NBA who don’t want to take the big shots? The only times I can think of was when Vince threw it to Dee Brown against the knicks in the playoffs for the final shot and when PJ took the last shot against the knicks in the playoffs (if I remember correctly both missed)… Other than that, the superstars on each team always seem eager to do so.

Sep.22 at 1:11 pm

Myung says:
Though I definitely don’t consider Marbury one of my favorite players, I still understand SLAM’S love for him. I never understood the Dajuan Wagner, Darius Miles, or Lenny Cooke love (other than the fact that Juanny and Lenny are from NY…maybe I just answered my own question), but the love shown for Steph is something I’ve always understood and anyone who’s been down with SLAM since issue 1 can appreciate it (as biased as it may be). I think the critics (usually mainstream media types) dislike(d) him for these reasons: (1) “forcing” the Minnesota trade (2) the Nets “miraculously” getting better after they acquired Kidd (which had NOTHING to do with a healthy Van Horn or Kenyon…sarcasm) (3) the “best PG in the NBA” quote and (4) his shot selection. DBlizzy, you made a nice comparison with the Gilbert thing, and honestly, I think if Gilbert continues to play the same way and if the Wizards don’t achieve more postseason success, he’ll start hearing the “Marbury” or “Francis” or “Insert shoot-first PG’s name here” criticism soon. But your point was definitely well taken. I respect Marbury’s offensive skill set, and I think as he gets older, I’m hoping his game matures and he rounds into more of a team player. He’s still in his prime, and because he’s built like a tank (a la Chauncey), I think he’ll have some pretty good years, even past his prime. I still don’t know how well his game will mesh with Francis and Crawford and Nate. We’ll have to wait and see. And like everyone else, I definitely gained some mad respect for him when he dropped the Starbury shoes and clothes this summer. Finally, it’s nice to see Tony G do a write up. Maybe we’ll see Scoop make a guest appearance too? Have a good weekend, guys.

Just had to say that the pictures you guys are using for the players are great. I look forward to the rest.

Sep.22 at 1:54 pm

Rob Stewart says:
This is in response to Myung. I thought Wagner was from Jersey. Please don’t put Juanny in the same boat as Cooke and Miles. Both of these guys just didn’t live up to their potential. Juanny had health issues and didn’t get a chance to fully develop in Cleveland (maybe because Lebron hit the scene). I got mad love for Juanny and I’m from Missouri.

Myung says:
Rob, sorry about the NJ/NY mix up. Clearly I don’t know. But as for Juanny, I know he had health issues that pretty much ended his career (which I feel bad about), but my point wasn’t to dis those players (those are just a small handful of players SLAM has hyped up who ended up doing nothing). It was to prop up the SLAM/Marbury relationship, which I really dig (as much I poke fun at it, good naturedly). Wagner might’ve turned into a decent pro, but from what I saw from his one year at Memphis and his two (and change) injury riddled (before the more serious health issues) pro seasons (9.4 ppg, 1.9 apg) wasn’t nearly mind blowing. I’m not fronting on SLAM. I got nothing but love for the Mag. Besides, look at that high school issue where they had the 6 guys (Shaun, Dwight, Josh, Marvin, Bassy, and Al). All of those cats made the pros, and they’ll all probably have good to great careers. You hit, and you miss. I hope you get my drift, Rob. But good post, nonetheless. Take care, man.

Chris says:
To the guy above who listed the “rest of the top 50,” Shaq is still top 10 in the league today… Oh, and where are KG and J-Kidd? Two years ago there isn’t anybody in the world who could make an valid argument that Garnett was not the best player in the world, and a knee injury and a bit of rebuilding over the past 2 years, he is still top 5 with potential of redemption. Duncan is still top 5 in the league too. So I must make the argument that while Dwyane Wade has found greatness, due to winning the chip this year, Lebron can’t be considered top 3 just yet, and I’m not so sure that Wade can either. 20. Gilbert Arenas
19. Ben Wallace

Oh, and when Steph led the Suns to the playoffs, in a tough first round series against the eventual Champions of that year, the Spurs, eveybody was singing his praises… Dude is nice!

Shiz says:
Huge Steph fan, I wish he’d been a little higher, but hey…not my call. I love Stephs game. To me he’s top 5 pg’s in the league. QUICK NAME 5 POINTS BETTER!……….still waiting………nuthin?
Cuz there aint!! HaHA! I fooled you guys!! It was a trick question!! Sorry about that, lost it for a sec. Steph is the truth. He’ll BUST ya ass. Made Yao fall back, had that big dude fallin like a cali redwood. He’s got a bad rap. He plays with shit guys. The quickest way for a pg to get assists is A) have a lot of guys who are spot up shooters. Like Phoenix and Nash and B) have spot up shooters that can hit the open j. steph’s got NO spot shooters, Crawford thinks he’s a franchise guy, and LB seemed like he was high on Opium all last season. I don’t blame Steph for wantin to leave Minny. You go from NYC to Minneapolis? Not shittin on minny cuz I’ve never been there, but thats gotta be a culture shock. And conversely, what the fuck is Garnetts problem? Yeah you wanna stay with the Wolves who’ve fucked up every draft except yours, and not go to a MAJOR market with plenty of dough and the only point guard you’ve ever really connected with…Not too bright KG…Not to bright at all…Stay in Minny and help Kevie-Kev flush your career down the drain. He should pick up stakes, an break camp for NY that way Steph will have someone to play off. Frye is good, but no Garnett, at least not yet. I cant fathom how people have blamed Steph for all those trash teams, like the Nets when they were the Nets. One dude can only do so much unless he’s MJ. Stephon Marbury is New York Knickerbocker basketball. He’s so NY he’s the only one that truly wants to be there! LOl! Thats gotta speak on loyalty at the least. Steve Franchise wont be on this list, or at least he shouldn’t be. He’s never been the absolute clear cut most valuable to his team. He’s always had Cat as a roll-dog (never a sidekick) Plus, he acted like a bitch about this whole Francis/Mobley break up. Suck it up, Be a man and grow some hair down there!! His game went to trash!! You’d think this dude was gettin over a high school sweetheart or somethin. Its like Dude your a multi-millionaire! You miss him that much, hop a bike to cop a flight on a private jet an chill wit em, but dont let it effect your game!! Vertigo my left ass cheek!!

IndianIverson says:
lol where the shit storm at man ?

Sep.22 at 3:38 pm

Shiz says:
and nobody better say shit negative about the Starbury line! That shit is for the poor, disenfranchised kids who dont got a computer or internet access. Kids and parents that are struggling cuz we’re bombarded by bling everywhere you look. Now, tell me thats not a good thing when you got guys like Spree, who cant dribble a lick with his left hand, saying x million isn’t enough. Or Kenny Anderson, who apparently ducks child support like the rest of us duck Jehovah’s Witnesses, that he’s got 8 cars he needs to be able to keep. Steph has no real major image problems outside of the basketball community. He did this from the charity of his own heart. Rememberin what it was like on that black top fuckin his ankles up. Plus its not like we’re dealing with another wak ass Dream shoe or some crazy chinese shoe garbage. Yeah, the shit is cheap, but flat out…the shit is hot. Gettin hot shit fa cheap?! Its..up..to..you..New…York, Neeeeew Yooooooork!! Best city on the planet.

Sep.22 at 4:29 pm

KMG says:
Steph the basketball player: phenomenal
Steph the leader: questionable
Steph the NBA champion: don’t hold your breath…and that’s coming from a longtime Knicks fan. I don’t expect a miracle to happen overnight, and I don’t expect the man to do it all by himself. However, as Steph goes, so goes the fortune of the Knicks. When he gets that in his head (and when the so-called powers that be learn how to spend cap money), that’s when this organization will return to elite status in the league. Maybe then Steph will get the love he deserves (hell, look at the 180 the press did when A.I. made it to the finals). Slam affiliation aside, Starbury could have been top 15 on this list if his teams won more. That’s not entirely his fault, just the truth.

Sep.22 at 4:55 pm

Sam Rubenstein says:
IndianIverson, I know right? I’m blown away by the positive reaction to Steph so far! Maybe it’s cause we put him this low on the list. I really thought people were going to be mad that he was even on the list at all the way that last season went. So I’ll throw this in there:
The KNicks had a 6 game winning streak. Steph was playing “phenomenal”, which is Larry Brown’s words. Then he ran into Wally’s shoulder, missed some time, and the season and team fell apart. These were his numbers, starting with the double OT win over Phoenix, through that game against the T-Wolves:
32 and 10 beat Phoenix 140-133
16 and 11 beat Washington 113-92
23 and 15 beat Seattle 120-116
22 and 5 beat Cleveland 92-84
28 and 6 beat Dallas 117-115
19 and 9 beat Atlanta 105-94
18 and 13 - in blowout loss to Toronto
20 and 5 - in loss to Minny. Got hurt. He was never the same last year. Only had one more double double the whole season.
The organizational meltdown and feud with coach was worse than his play on the court. Which you could blame on the coach by the way.

Glad to see Marbury at #39 although that is probably too high for him. Nice stats put has never done a damn thing ever in the playoffs. So actually #39 is too high for Marbury.

Shiz, If Minny fucked up every draft except KG. How did they end up with Steph in the first place?

Sep.22 at 5:02 pm

Why all the love for Marbury? Never plays for a good team. The few games he has played in the playoffs have been horrible. Marbury has proved he will never be a winner.

Sep.22 at 5:16 pm

keo says:
wat the F! 39- we r talking about one of the greatest players ever and he gets number 39. slam is way off on this one. how can marbury be 39 when other players such as tony parker, michael redd, rip, chauncy, rasheed, jet, manu, and every other person gonna be rated higher than he? no way possible just because they have a better team with better success doesnt mean they r better it means they have a good team. im pissed.

Sep.22 at 5:34 pm

scott says:
Keo, did you ever think that the reason Marbury’s teams always suck probably has to do with Marbury. Most of those players you mentioned to deserve to be ranked ahead of Marbury. Once again this list isn’t dealing with the past. It is for the 2006-2007 season. Marbury will turn 30 this season and his numbers took a huge dive last year. Tony Parker, Michael Redd, Chauncey Billups, Manu Ginoboli should and will be rated higher then Marbury. Sometimes the truth hurts.

Sep.22 at 5:36 pm

Shiz says:
Ryan, sorry my mistake…two drafts..since team inception…how crass of me to forget. Now here’s the hard part…outside of KG and Steph, name a draft the Wolves havent fucked up. Im not even gonna take the easy way out and get into the whole Joe Smith thing. Almost every dude they’ve drafted has either been a bust or was traded. Usually the two factors coincided. How easily we forget when Christian Laetner was the man in Minny…ouch…I know that stings…try a little bactine on it… Like I said the Wolves were right there with the Mavs as piss pour western teams for a looooong time. Sure KG’s draft was phenominal, but honestly drafting Steph wasn’t the greatest idea because he left on the first thing smokin. So you go from having a top 5 point god to Troy Hudson…YOU…MAKE…THE CALL

Sep.22 at 5:41 pm

scott says:
Shiz, I like the Wolves pick this year Randy Foye. Think he can be a poor man’s version of D-Wade. But the wolves drafts certainly havent been pretty shitty. Just another example of poor decision making on Marbury’s part. Leave Minnesota so he can be the alpha-dog…I mean be closer to his family. Nice move Stephon. Couldn’t stand bein g second bananna to KG.

Roy Twist says:
Steph is my favorite player and I’ve always hated the coverage he got. A lot of people buy into that ESPN outsider coverage which I hate .. I HATE TIM LEGLER .. I do, he is a fool. I bet he knows a ton more about basketball than me, but he is so wrong about so many things; but I digress. I’m talking about my boy STARBURY, Showbiz, Coney Island’s Finest and the things you have to remember about him. Does anyone else remember the lovefest he got when HE made Matrix’s life easy and compared STAT to KG? Remember how much crap he got for that when it turned out Amare might well be more of a beast than KG? Do you remember that last second three that left San Antonio wondering just what the hell happened? Remember him winning that All-star game with Deke? Remember the 50 he dropped on the Lakers right after (when the lakers ruled the nba)? Remember HIM catch alley-opps? Remember him dropping a cool million on Katrina efforts or the tears he shed? Does anyone remember him playing hurt damn near a whole season on asphalt worn ankles? Do you remeber him killing the Rucker for no other reason than he felt like it? Do you remember HIM winning the Bronze for the US by his damn self? Does anyone remember him buying rims for Barbosa? Or maybe just the face he made after that Amare over Kandi-man? Some of the hate is deserved, but can you fault him for yelling at KVH who got traded the summer after he did? Steph numbers did the dippity last season becuase of Larry Brown’s offense. Don’t hate. He gets called a bad teamate because he yells at his teamates … when everyone knows when his team is winning no one is more happy than him. Stephon is a great player and WHEN not IF he gets his ring all of you best remember.

Phil B. says:
Sam -
You got it - lots of love for Steph because it’s 39 and not top-20. This was my reaction too. I know you guys love him, so it feels right to me that you put him on this list, especially where you did. Even though I would have Stephon (aka Jeff George) Starbury at about #80 or so. I liked the stats you pulled up re the Knicks lone winning streak. Shows him looking good. I’ll just point out that the only big shot Steph ever hit was a three-pointer off the backboard. You have to admit the Magics and Michaels and Birds must have laughed their lips off at that. In sum, I’m enjoying this list madly. Darko at 49? I love it and I agree, even if…you know. Do me one favor. Make sure you get LeBron #1 or at least over Kobe. It’s true Kobe is an assassin. But Lebron’s passing skills and sense of team play at his age are sublime and will only improve. Do the right thing, boys. And while you’re at it, put Carmelo at #3 or 4 just because I love the cat for making Syracuse #1 for once. Cheers to all.

Steph is rated where he should be. Talent wise he should be rated higher. But if u look at the total package he’s a shoot first past never point guard who teams always sucks. He got rated to high.

Dear Slam,
Where is Caron Butler at? It seems that he should be appearing sometime soon on the list. I fear that you didn’t include Butler and he is more deserving then some of the players that have already appeared.
Thanks,

Chris you made a mistake, hopefully wihtout realizing it. You left Iverson off of your top 20. I hope I don’t have to post a thesis report on why A.I. should be on the list.

stojakovic should be on this list not in the top 10 but he is defiantly better than marbury, at least stojakovic lead his team deep into the playoffs before and hit shots, he will be on this list in the 30s or 20s

Serbia 23………Stojakovic sucked in last years playoffs. Manu Ginobili should and will be ranked higher then Marbury. Ginobili is much more valuable to San Antonio then Marbury is to the Knicks. Ginobili has already done more in the playoffs then Marbury ever will.

It’d be interesting to see his ranking AFTER this season. My money is on him making this ranking look embarassing. He can go with the best in the league and is unstoppable at times. Although, I think keeping Francis (even if by accident) and sticking him with steph is prolly one of the top 3 worst Knicks moves of all time (which is saying something). Steph and Francis cannot, should not and must not play together. In the infamous words of Christopher Wallace, that like: two di*ks and no chick - (the knicks about to) find (themselves) in serious shi*

Lindsey, A.I. is one of my favorite all time players, I don’t know what I was thinking when I disregarded him, he’s been a top 10 player for the last 6 years, and top 20 since he came into the league. He should definitely be top 10 on Slam’s list, and I just hope that something happens in Philly this year so he can not only make it back to the playoffs, but bring it back to the early 2000s.

wut u know scott, so did ginobli spurs are one the most stacked teams in the league and they lost, stojakovic will be on this list and if he isnt dat some deep bullshit

Sep.24 at 11:23 pm

scott says:
Serbia23…..Ginobili is a huge part of the reason San Antonio is stacked. Manu is a better defender , better passer, and creates his own shot unlike your boy Stojakovic. Get ready for some deep bullshit Serbia cause I don’t think Peja is gonna be on this list.

Sep.25 at 12:19 am

serbia23 says:
he should be and stojakovic can create his own shot not as good as ginobli but dats cuz stojakovic is a shooter and ginobli is a scorer, even though stojakovic scores more dan ginobli and stojakovic is a better rebounder, and i would question da defender thing, if stojakovic aint on da list then ginobli wont be

It is usually the case that lack of numbers can’t begin to explain the value of a player. Scottie Pippen can score 5 points yet dominate a game. Ben Wallace doesn’t even have a pass in the paint to him yet provide the key in the win. Jason Kidd might miss his first 6 j’s, not shoot again for the rest of the game yet be the reason why his team wins. These are testaments to the intangibles that these type of players have. They have hustle, they have heart and they make teammates better. Reasons why their teams have won. Consistently. Unfortunately, it is the opposite for Stephon Marbury. For all the gaudiness of his statistics, 20+ppg, 7-8+ppg, etc, etc, where have his teams been? That is not to say that he hasn’t played with great players. He had Garnett, pre-injury Amare, Shawn Marion. For all the ridicule that the Knicks roster has received, that line-up still has more weapons than other teams can only dream off (heck, steve francis and Jalen rose were once labeled as “franchise players”), so he is not actually bereft as far as teammates is concerned. I know, numbers can be undisputed. If you put them up, you put them up. Concurrently, you would have to be good. Moreso if you have been consistent through the years. But basketball is a team game. Ballers should be team players. Teams should win. Players who say that “im the best point guard in the game” should atleast make the playoffs. If you say you’re the best, why can’t you win? The best players provide real, undisputed answers backed-up by over-all team success. They don’t just yap about their numbers, complain about how they are misunderstood, claim the burden of how they are under-valued. The best players are winners, not whiners. I wish I could say that for Stephon Marbury.

steph at 39 is way too low, although i understand it based on last year’s disaster (larry brown’s fault).
Try doing the list again after this season (now under isiah), and i wouldnt be surprised if he’s top 20. bottom line is, 20 and 8 is still 20 and 8. Mad game, big heart, and he never forgets the hood where he came from. Isiah respects him, Tiny archibald respects him, SLAM respects him. much respect is due.

We are a small store located in northeastern Illinois. We would like to sell Starbury shoes, we heard that Mr. Marbury was looking for other outlets to sell his shoes. But we have found out that only Steve&Barry’s are exclusively allowed to carry these shoes, when we contacted them we found that they were very disrespectful and rude. But on TV Mr. Marbury stated that he was looking for other outlets. What’s up with that?
