Diana Taurasi is set to miss the rest of the 2022 campaign due to a quad strain she suffered recently, per the Phoenix Mercury.
Prayers up for DT 🙏🏾 https://t.co/7cMX0I7WFV

Taurasi averaged 17.3 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 4.0 assists in the 30 games she played this season. On July 28, she became the first player in WNBA history to score 30+ points at 40-years-old. She’s just the third player in combined W and NBA history to accomplish the feat since Michael Jordan and Dirk Nowitzki.
She’s missed the Mercury’s last two contests after she injured her knee during the second quarter of an eventual loss to the Connecticut Sun last week. Phoenix responded to the tough news about DT by signing Yvonne Turner to a hardship contract. She last played for the Mercury from 2017-2019.
Phoenix has three games left in the season and is fighting for the final spot to play in the playoffs. The Mercury are in eighth-place and hold the same record as the Atlanta Dream, who are in seventh, while the Liberty, Lynx, and Sparks are all one game back.
The Mercury’s next three games are against the Lynx, Wings, and Sky.
