If the last two games are any indication, the Oklahoma City Thunder are going to be fun as hell despite the loss of Kevin Durant. In last night’s overtime thriller against the Suns, Russell Westbrook put together a mind-boggling 51-point, 13-rebound, 10-assist stat line to lead OKC to a 113-110 win. Westbrook became the first player since Kareem Adbul-Jabbar in 1975 to post a 50-point, 13-rebound, 10-assist triple-double.
“You’ve got to want to win,” Westbrook told ESPN of the performance. “It’s pretty simple. If you want to win, you don’t think about being tired. Being tired is a mind thing. It’s in your mind. You’ve got to go out and compete at a high level and leave it on the floor.”
