The passing of Moses Malone last week hit the NBA community hard. The three-time MVP touched many lives over his Hall of Fame career—and perhaps no one’s more than former Sixer teammate Charles Barkley.
Addressing the crowd at Malone’s funeral on Saturday, Barkley told the story of how “Big Mo” took him under his wing and taught him how to be a professional. Barkley, who called Moses “Dad,” concluded his eulogy by saying that he was happy to be able to make Malone proud.
