Levi Maestro has the gift to capture the positivity and excitement of life. To say that Maestro, creator of Maestro Knows, “makes videos” would not only be an understatement, it would be a lie. The body of work that the Los Angeles native has created visually is in a class of its own.
Maestro has filmed mini glances of unique people from a genuine perspective. Weaving music, art, life and, in this case, sport together for a look at some of the most interesting things and people out. Names such as Bun B, Vashtie Kola, Jonathan Mannion and Nigel Sylvester have just been a few featured on Maestroknows.com.
One thing Maestro enjoys outside of creating inspiring work is basketball. “Basketball is one of the first things I can remember in my life,” says Maestro, who recently shot “It’s All For The LOVE” during Nike World Basketball Festival back in August, giving an entertaining glance of New York City baller’s that live and love the game. This time around, Sacramento Kings guard Tyreke Evans is the subject.
Tyreke Evans has been getting buckets and wreaking havoc on the court since his days out of Chester, PA, playing for American Christian Academy. He made his time with the Memphis Tigers look easy and his transition to the NBA was just as smooth averaging 20 points, 5 assists and earning NBA Rookie of the Year honors for 2009-2010. What Evans has managed to do on a nightly basis in the League inspired Maestro so much he picked him for his latest video.
“The inspiration in this video is the celebration of accomplishment. Tyreke is only 20 years old and has already achieved so much in basketball, I basically wanted to showcase that in a very motivating way, so that those watching could positively realize what you can do when your heart is a part of something.”
Be inspired and enjoy Maestro’s latest with the NBA’s best.
