While DMiles clanked a dunk a la Michael Jordan at All-Star, dude was still nice against the Cavs. In his ninth game this season, Miles displayed bits and pieces of the broad repertoire that had scouts fawning over him as a rookie. We see a nice ball fake at the goal mouth, smooth and easy footwork in the post and, of course, an impressive mid-range step-back over the outstretched arms of King James. Miles didn’t just score his first NBA basket in nearly three years, but he posted 13 points, hitting 4-6 and getting to the stripe seven times in about 13 minutes.
The Cavs gave the Grizzlies a pounding, but that didn’t stop Miles from doing his signature Nogin Knock (around 0:53) at the end of the third quarter. Miles saw mostly garbage time minutes, but he played well enough to warrant more playing time when the Grizz visit the Jazz this Friday. And we all know what that will mean…
