Amid all of the action of Final Four weekend, things popped off bright and early on Thursday morning at 8 a.m. at the US Basketball Writers Association awards breakfast. It was here that National Player of the Year and likely No. 1 pick in the NBA Draft Anthony Davis received the Oscar Robertson trophy, which is awarded to the nation’s top player.
While there wasn’t a whole lot of action, SLAM was in the building and our friends at CityLeagueHoops captured AD23 receiving the award, along with Coach Cal’s revering statements about his prized freshman. Click the video above to enjoy.
