Rafer Alston might be best remembered as Skip 2 My Lou, not Rafer Alston, NBA PG. Not much wrong with that—Skip’s a legend—but Alston was a solid player in his own right. He filled a classic if crucial role for various good teams: the serious defender who distributes the ball and knocks down big threes.
