LeBron James came out aggressively, scoring 30 points Sunday night to lead the Eastern Conference, but it wasn’t enough as Russell Westbrook and the West took home the 163-158 win in the 64th NBA All-Star Game.
James had a great time playing in MSG, his favorite arena in the world.
LeBron passed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Michael Jordan to move into second on the all-time ASG scoring list.

James scored 15 of the East’s first 21 points. Washington’s John Wall had the other six. James emphasized his love for the fans in Cleveland, but did say he would love to play all 82 games at Madison Square Garden. […] “It don’t get no better,” James said of playing in The Garden. “They know the game of basketball, and to be able to go out and represent my team and represent the league at the highest level, it means everything.”
He now stands at 278 points, just short of Los Angeles’ Kobe Bryant (280). […] “Any time you’re in the conversation with a great, it’s humbling,” he said. “It’s an honor and I’ve just got to keep getting better and better.”
“I’m excited of what our team accomplished,” James said. “We entered the break playing some really, really good basketball. I’m going to take these next couple of days off and get back in the gym on Wednesday a little bit, go hard on Thursday and get ready to play Washington on Friday.”
