Glen Rice was one of the coolest players of the 90s. He lead Michigan to a National Championship in 1989 and was promptly drafted by the expansion Miami Heat (in their 2nd year) with the 4th overall pick of the ’89 Draft. Rice is one of the most accurate shooters in NBA history and ranks 8th all time in 3-pt Field goals with 1,559. Rice won the ’95 three-point shootout at All Star weekend, was a 3x All Star, 1x All-Star MVP in ’97, and won a championship with the Lakeshow in 2000. Rice scored a career-high 56 points against the powerhouse Orlando Magic in the ’94-’95 season, hitting 20 of 27 shots including 7-8 from beyond the arc (recap below). Rice retired after a short stint with the Clippers in the ’03-’04 season. Shout out to Eric from France for the suggestion.
