The short-handed Portland Trail Blazers had no answers for Eric Bledsoe and the Phoenix Suns Wednesday night, going down 118-113.
Bledsoe finished with a career-best 33 points.
The Blazers made a game of it after falling down a 25-point hole, but couldn’t complete the comeback.
Per the AZ Republic:
Portland was missing star LaMarcus Aldridge due to a hand injury and had its other star, Damian Lillard, only make six of 22 shots. But the rest of the Blazers stepped up to challenge Phoenix.
Suns guard Eric Bledsoe had an even better night against Portland (31-12), posting a career-high 33 points to go with 10 rebounds and six assists. He also played much of his defense on Lillard. He took a break from the tough assignment, but after Lillard started scoring against Isaiah Thomas, Bledsoe was put back on the Portland star.
“I’m fixing to go home and sleep like a baby,” Bledsoe said once it was over.
