Trailing the Clippers by 17 in the third quarter, Anthony Davis of the Pelicans collided knees with Chris Paul and was unable to leave the court on his own strength. It goes without saying that the last thing New Orleans needs is to lose Davis for a prolonged period; the former number one draft pick missed a handful of games earlier in the season with hip and shoulder injuries. As of now, there’s no official word on the extent of Davis’ injury.
Update: Anthony Davis (right knee contusion) is questionable to return.
