A woman has filed suit against Nick Young, alleging that the 27-year-old Young drugged and raped her in 2011. Per CBS Los Angeles: “The lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court against Young and the Crown Bar in West Hollywood. The woman’s allegations range from sexual battery and false imprisonment to intentional infliction of emotional distress and negligence. She refers to herself as Jane Doe in the complain, and is seeking damages that are unspecified. The woman’s lawyer, Marvin Wolf, confirmed that Young, who currently plays for the Philadelphia 76ers, is the defendant in the lawsuit. A representative for the 76ers could not be immediately reached. […] The drug that the woman alleges Young used is Gamma-Hydroxbutyric acid, or GHB — often referred to as the date-rape drug. According to the complaint, the woman was at the Crown Bar in West Hollywood with a friend on Aug. 12, 2011, when Young approached them and offered them drinks. The suit also states that the plaintiff knew Young from two prior meetings. ‘Plaintiff accepted and consumed a champagne beverage that had been offered to her by … Young,’ according to the suit. Court papers also say that the woman alleges that she does not remember what happened after drinking the beverage, but she believes she was taken by Young to his apartment, where she alleges he had sex with her. When the plaintiff woke up the next morning and asked Young why the two of them were naked in his apartment, he reportedly replied that the two began having sex the previous night, but that they had stopped when she passed out, according to the suit. Court papers also suggest that Young complied when the woman demanded that he take her home. Ensuing tests later confirmed that the woman had been given GHB, according to the suit, which also says that she underwent exams at the UCLA Santa Monica Rape Treatment Center, which revealed anal and rectal bleeding.”
