The first of the dominos has fallen, as tomorrow’s NBA trade deadline looms. According to multiple reports, forward Thomas Robinson (the 5th overall draft pick) was traded from the Sacramento Kings to the Houston Rockets as part of a 3-way deal that includes the Phoenix Suns. Per Yahoo! Sports: “The Rockets sent Patrick Patterson, Toney Douglas and Cole Aldrich to the Kings, and Marcus Morris to the Phoenix Suns as part of the trade. The Kings give up Robinson, the power forward out of Kansas, Francisco Garcia and Tyler Honeycutt, sources said. The Suns send a 2013 second-round pick to the Rockets. The deal reunites Morris with his twin brother, Markieff, on the Suns. Marcus and Markieff played together at Kansas, and were chosen back-to-back with the 13th and 14th picks of the 2011 draft. Morris, the 14th overall pick of the 2011 draft, had started 17 games for the Rockets this season, averaging 8.6 points and 4.1 rebounds. Morris averaged 21 minutes a game for Houston.”
