Knicks Set Record for Playoff Losses, on the Brink of Getting Swept

The New York Knicks became the first team in NBA history to lose 13 consecutive postseason games last night, and with one more defeat, they can finally be put out of their misery this season. From the AP: “The New York Knicks set an NBA record Thursday night with their 13th straight playoff loss when they dropped Game 3 of their first-round series, 87-70 to the Miami Heat. The Knicks had tied the 12 straight losses set by the Memphis Grizzlies from 2004-06. Their losing streak covers 11 years. New York hasn’t won a postseason game since beating Toronto on April 29, 2001, in Game 3 of a best-of-five series. The Knicks were then swept in four straight by New Jersey when they returned to the playoffs in 2004.”
