THE AND1 LIVE TOUR, formally known as “THE AND1 MIXTAPE TOUR,” has just returned from a three-week tour in East Africa, which was sponsored by Sprite. Touching down in Kenya on April 18th 2012, the team began a whirlwind tour of East Africa with nine games in six countries. Host countries included: Zimbabwe, Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Burundi, and Uganda. Giving back is a big part of what we do and spending time with the children of our host countries is very important to us. Our newest player Jus Fly found this out first hand. Community service is just another way to give back to the communities we visit. In Burundi, the team help construct a new basketball court. Our first stop in Africa was an outdoor basketball court in Harare, Zimbabwe. Pharmacist showed the kids some of his trademark moves. The AND1 Live team went on to win every game they played. The Team had an amazing experience in East Africa, often referring to the region as their second home, and is looking forward to the opportunity to return to the region next year.
