Kevin Durant briefly spoke to the media about teammate Kyrie Irving as well as the Net’s strengths and the teams’ strategy moving forward after losing 106-93 against the Heat.
After starting the season without Irving, the Nets are now 2-3. Durant, who notched 25 points, 11 boards, and two assists against Miami, opened up about the team’s circumstances:
“I know what you want me to say,” Durant said. “Yeah, we do miss Kyrie. We do. He’s a part of our team.”
“He’s a part of our team but for the most part we’ve been generating great shots, getting into the paint,” Durant said. “It’s just a matter of us knocking them down. I think it will come.”
The Nets will take on the Pacers on Friday night.
