While much of the focus of the Summer League is on the 2016 Draft Class, last year’s No. 2 pick D’Angelo Russell has been one of the weekend’s brightest stars. On Thursday, Russell lit up the Pelicans with 20 points, 11 boards and 6 assists and last night, the rising point guard added another 22 points and a game-winning shot against the Sixers.
With 1.8 seconds left, Russell caught the inbounds pass and nailed a long 3-pointer. Ice in his veins, indeed.
