Team USA punched their ticket to the semifinals by defeating Spain 95-81 on Tuesday to move on to the medal round. Kevin Durant continued his historical dominance over the tournament with 29 points.
The USA men’s basketball team has now won three straight games and will face Australia in the semifinals Thursday and a chance to play in the gold medal game on Saturday. A win over the weekend will land the Americans their fourth Olympic gold medal in a row.

The Americans took over in the second half despite Spain’s Ricky Rubio putting on a masterful 38-point performance. It was the highest point total ever against Team USA in any international event.
