The Houston Rockets will be without forward Thabo Sefolosha when the 2019-20 regular season resumes at Disney World next month. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports that the veteran will opt out of the comeback.
Sefolosha saw action in 41 games for the Rockets this season and had served as a versatile forward with no shortage of experience. More than anything, however, Houston will miss the 36-year-old’s defense.
Sefolosha will hit free agency this summer after signing on with the Rockets on a one-year deal last September.
The Rockets are eligible to sign a substitute player to take Sefolosha’s place and are expected to sign veteran Luc Mbah a Moute.
