One of the most underrated forwards in the entire NBA is Thad Young, who spent the last two seasons in Chicago with the Bulls. Recently traded to the Spurs in the Zach LaVine deal, his future with the team is uncertain.
With that in mind, teams are doing their due diligence on Young to see what it would take to acquire him. According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, the Phoenix Suns are among contenders interested in his services.
Last season, Young produced 12.1 points, 6.2 rebounds and 4.3 assists while playing in a role primarily off the bench. With that in mind, he also started in 23 games and proved to be effective in that role too.
At age 33, Young is certainly a role player at this point in his career, but fits the mold of a player every contender could use. As the Suns look to make another trip to the NBA Finals this season, he would be an excellent pickup.
