The San Antonio Spurs will sign free agent center Tyler Zeller for the remainder of the season, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Zeller last saw big league action with the Hawks and Grizzlies in 2018-19.
Zeller will add depth to the team’s frontcourt following the revelation that LaMarcus Aldridge will miss the Disney World games as he recovers from surgery.
The 30-year-old big man has started 166 career games in the NBA, across stints with six franchises. He’ll look to mesh in San Antonio, sharing time at the five with Jakob Poeltl.
Zeller played through training camp with the Denver Nuggets earlier this season.
