Scottie Barnes Becomes the Youngest Raptor in Franchise History to Record 20/10/5 Stat Line
Despite a 131-129 loss to the Brooklyn Nets in the Toronto Raptors’ most recent back-to-back, Scottie Barnes surpassed Tracy McGrady as the youngest player in franchise history to record at least 20 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists in a game at 20 years and 135 days old. McGrady formerly held the record at 20 years and 316 days of age.
The Raptors’ fourth overall pick dropped 23 points, 12 boards, and five dimes on 7-13 shooting from the field in 44 minutes of action while accepting the defensive matching up of guarding two-time Finals MVP, Kevin Durant.

Barnes has been exceptionally efficient in his first season in the League, scoring 10 plus points in 11 consecutive games after Tuesday night, the longest streak by a rookie this season. The former Florida State stand-out ranks second amongst rookies in scoring and rebounding and first in minutes played, averaging 15.4 points and 8.3 rebounds in 36.2 minutes per game.
“I really just was able to get to my spots where I would make little moves to get him off balance,” Barnes said of his matchup against Durant. “So it really didn’t bother me so much. It just looked really open to me.”
The Raptors (13-15) are looking at three days off after their Thursday night matchup against the Chicago Bulls was postponed, facing off against the new all-time made three-point record holder in Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors (23-5) at home on Saturday night.
