REPORT: Nikola Vucevic to Miss ‘Multiple Games’ Due to NBA Health and Safety Protocols
The Chicago Bulls have been off to a red hot start to open the season, but they’ll have to get through the next few days without All-Star center Nikola Vucevic.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Vucevic has tested positive for COVID-19 and has entered the NBA’s health and safety protocols.
Wojnarowski goes on to report that the Bulls expect Vucevic to miss “multiple games” due to the positive test.
Vucevic has two ways to return to the court; he either has to quarantine for 10 consecutive days or return two negative PCR tests within 24 hours.
Despite the Bulls opening up the season strong, Vucevic hasn’t put up the offensive numbers fans have become accustomed to over the years. In 11 games this year, Vucevic is averaging 13.6 points and 10.9 rebounds per game.
Vucevic is currently in his second season with the Bulls after being traded at the deadline last season from the Orlando Magic.
The Bulls are currently sat tied with the Washington Wizards atop the Eastern Conference with a record of 8-3. The Bulls play the Warriors Friday on the road.
