According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, James Harden will take a $15 million pay cut next season, allowing the 76ers to elevate their roster and raise it to title contention.

Harden was set to make $47 million if he signed his player option. Shams reported that Harden plans to sign a two-year deal with a player option for the last season of the contract.
Harden averaged 21.0 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 10.5 assists per game on 40.2 percent shooting from the field and 32.6 from beyond the arc.
