The Toronto Raptors have revealed that they’ve released guard Shamorie Ponds from his two-way contract. The St. John’s product had split time between the Raps’ big league squad and their G League affiliate since October.
Ponds saw limited action with Toronto, suiting up for just four games, but averaged 14.4 points and 3.3 assists per game in 14 games of action with the Raptors 905.
Prior to latching on with the Raptors at the start of the 2019-20 regular season, Ponds had played summer league and training camp with the Houston Rockets.
