One of the biggest storylines to follow this summer will be the Ben Simmons situation in Philadelphia. After a disappointing end to the season, the Sixers’ young star could be on the move.
As first reported by Matt Moore of Action Network, the Toronto Raptors are the team most engaged in trade discussions for Simmons at this point. He would go on to say that Kyle Lowry, Fred VanVleet, OG Anunoby, and the fourth overall pick in Thursday’s draft for Simmons was rejected by Toronto.
For Philadelphia, Kyle Lowry is still at the top of their list of targets this offseason. It appears that for now, the trade framework they’ve originally offered won’t help in landing the veteran point guard.
Simmons averaged 14.3 points, 7.2 rebounds and 6.9 assists per game last season for the Sixers and was one of the best defenders in the entire NBA.
