Thunder 111, Warriors 120 (OKC leads 3-2)
Faced with elimination, the Warriors came out with lots of intensity and aggression and thoroughly outplayed the Thunder throughout Game 5.
Stephen Curry scored 12 of his team-high 31 points in the final six minutes as the Warriors refused to go home.
Klay Thompson continued his torrid play, finishing with 26 points. Big efforts from Andrew Bogut (15 and 14) and Mo Speights (14 points) helped to counter to OKC’s big lineups. The Warriors scored 48 points in the paint—a crucial metric to their success in this game.
Draymond Green, while he didn’t have a great offensive performance, played like the All-Defensive player that he is, even bookending the game with swats against Russell Westbrook.

Kevin Durant played a great game, hitting timely shot after timely shot. KD finished with 40 points and 7 rebounds, while partner-in-crime, Russell Westbrook put up 31 points with 7 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals. They shot a combined 23-59, though.
The Thunder only got 13 points off the bench, which would prove to be not enough help.
Curry effectively ended things by stealing the ball from Durant and then hitting a layup to give the Warriors a 10-point lead with a minute left. After that play, the MVP got fired up, shouting, “We ain’t going home!”
