Entering this season, both the Suns and Sixers were expected to be competing for the No. 1 overall pick in this upcoming Draft. My have the tables turned. Phoenix continued their surprisingly successful season, never trailing during their victory in Philly. Gerald Green paced Phoenix with 30 points and Goran Dragic added 24. Michael Carter-Williams continued his dazzling rookie debut, putting up 22 points and 11 assists for the home team.
Raptors (23-21) 104, Nets (20-23) 103
The Raptors, another surprise team of the season, visited Brooklyn to try and extend their lead in the Atlantic Division. The Nets were sitting pretty, inbounding the ball up 103-102 with 12.0 seconds left. But Patrick Patterson had other plans:
Timberwolves (22-22) 95, Bulls (22-22) 86
K-Love dropped 31 points in Chi-Town, helping the Wolves get back to .500 for the first time since January 10. The Bulls had all five starters in double-figures, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the visitors from Minnesota.
Clippers (32-15) 114, Bucks (8-36) 86
Jordan Crawford hung 25 points on the Bucks one game after scoring 37 points against Toronto. And of course, Blake Griffin obliterated the rim in Milwaukee:
Hawks (23-21) 109, Thunder (36-10) 111
Kevin Durant continued his ridiculous stretch of scoring 30-plus by dropping 41 points against the Hawks. KD’s now scored at least 30 in 11-straight games. His last two points of the night might by his biggest of his memorable month:
Kings (15-29) 99, Jazz (16-29) 106
The Jazz rolled past the Kings as DeMarcus Cousins and Rudy Gay remained sidelined with respective injuries. Utah attempted a whopping 53 free throws in the contest, with 12 coming from an energized Jeremy Evans. The Kings had six scorers in double-figures, but still failed to eclipse 100.
