The Orlando Magic have inked free agent guard Gary Clark to a 10-day contract, the team has revealed. Clark passed through waivers earlier this month when he was released by the Houston Rockets.
Clark’s 10-day pact will give him an opportunity to audition with an Eastern Conference team eager to sneak back into the postseason. Last year, the club turned another 10-day signee with recent Rockets experience, Michael Carter-Williams, into a legitimate rotation player.
In 18 games for the Rockets, Clark averaged 3.9 points in just over 11 minutes of action. He also played with Houston during the previous campaign.
Clark will join the Magic, occupying a vacancy created by the release of Josh Magette.
