The Brooklyn Nets have announced that they’ve parted ways with two-way forward Henry Ellenson. The 23-year-old former first-round pick saw action in just five games for the franchise’s big league squad this year.
In 11 games with the team’s G League affiliate, Ellenson averaged 18.3 points and 9.5 rebounds per game while attempting 6.1 threes per contest. He’ll return to those Long Island Nets if his contract goes unclaimed on waivers.
Ellenson has bounced around several franchises since the Detroit Pistons made him the 18th pick in the 2016 NBA Draft but hasn’t had a consistent opportunity to establish himself as a stretch four at the NBA level.
The Nets now have one two-way roster slot and one standard contract slot available.
