Age ain’t nothing but a number. Well, to some it is. In a day and age in which there will be players drafted next week before hitting their 18th birthday, you have a few players on the opposite end of that spectrum. Sean Kilpatrick is one of those guys.
Being forced to attend prep school and then sit out a season as a partial qualifier, the Yonkers product finds himself knocking on the NBA’s door at the ripe age of 24. The 6-4 SG killed it at his time at Cincinnati, finishing second to only The Big O in the schools all-time scoring column. He is a natural scorer who can flat out get buckets, whether it be from beyond the arc or through contact at the rack. He can shoot the ball on the move or with his feet set, often drawing comparisons to Lakers sharpshooter Jodie Meeks. His 220-pound frame allows him to bully defenders on his way to the tin on O, but uses the same strength to provide a presence defensively on the perimeter.
Kilpatrick’s body of work speaks for itself, so while some teams will be drafting on potential, everyone will know what they’re getting in this guy.
