Hardaway went down just five minutes into the second quarter when he went down awkwardly on a drive. Although he was in pain, THJ knocked down his free throws before going back to the locker room to get examined but didn’t return. The injury ended up being a break in the fifth metatarsal bone in his left foot, specifically after he went down awkwardly on a drive.
According to teammate and close friend Kristaps Porzingis, Hardaway is okay after the two spoke after the game.
“He was down at first…But I talked to him now, and he seemed to be in better spirits already.” Porzingis said per Callie Caplan of the Dallas Morning News.
