Fultz has missed time due to a to fractured toe injury he suffered during the preseason. On Nov. 9, the former No. 1 overall pick told the Orlando Sentinel he hoped to return “within the next 3-4 weeks.” That time frame would’ve had Fultz set to come back on Dec. 7.
Fultz was questionable to make his season debut on Sunday against his former team, the Philadelphia 76ers. However, Orlando ruled him and decided he wouldn’t play during Orlando’s eventual 133-103 loss. When asked about Fultz’s availability, head coach Jamahl Mosley said Orlando ruled him because “we’re just going to give it a couple of more days.”
The 24-year-old guard out of the DMV has averaged 10.8 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game over his five-year career.
