The rich got richer this offseason, as the Lakers got even deeper than they already were. With some of the league’s best bench scorers now on their roster, LeBron James and Anthony Davis should feel less pressure to carry the load on that end of the floor.
We broke down the Lakers’ depth chart for the 2020-21 season below. We’ve also previously published a summary of the Lakers’ offseason.
Point Guard |
LeBron James Alex Caruso Quinn Cook |

Biggest Questions
- Was Kyle Kuzma’s recent extension a move to keep him around long-term, or make him more attractive on the trade market? Although he was great in his first couple of NBA seasons, his production really dipped last season with James and Davis running the team.
- Can Marc Gasol play big minutes? The Lakers went all in on Gasol as they lost both JaVale McGee and Dwight Howard this offseason. Gasol is excellent but is almost 36 years old and past his prime.
